The bridge is solid as it is held in place by four bridge screws covered by little round covers, you usually find that guitars of this age suffer from serious bridge lift if they didnt have these screws factory fitted when made, so definitely a bonus and its helped the guitar survive for all these years. I believe the guitar dates from the 60's although it could well be a little earlier. There is a real booming tone from the low E which makes it great for folk and blues. Now like me you would probably look at an old girl like this and expect there to be some issues with the sound and playability, which is probably true of a lot of these older guitars, however I was amazed to find it tunes nicely, the action is pleasantly surprising and it sounds every bit as good as it looks.
